As a note, we notice that a lot of customers would like to know about specific medical benefits of hemp or what different types of medical conditions it is good for. While we love to hear success stories and are excited by the health benefits that new research is discovering, however, we make no direct health claims regarding our products.

What are hemp extracts?
Hemp extracts contain naturally occurring, non-intoxicating compounds produced by the hemp plant. There are several compounds worth noting, including flavorful terpenes that work in synergy alongside other phytocompounds found in hemp.
These compounds are produced in specialized "hairs" (called glandular trichomes) on the surface of hemp plants. Hemp has adapted to growing in many climates through the production of these compounds as a form of protection. They can provide defense against harsh environments and natural predators while also attracting insect pollinators.

Terpenes (pronounced tur-peens) and flavonoids give hemp its taste and smell. These aromatic compounds are also found in fruit, spices, and other plants to produce scents ranging from sweet citrus to more pungent odors. Beyond simply producing smells, terpenes also work in synergy with other hemp compounds to contribute to the benefits within the body.

How much should I take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to hemp extracts. Everyone is different and will respond to hemp extracts in different ways. Finding your ideal strength and serving might require some adjustment over time. We always suggest starting low and slow and adjusting as needed to find your personal “sweet spot.” The goal is always a feeling of balance, whatever that may mean for you.
How much should I give to my pet?
Because our pets also have a network of receptors that respond to hemp, we offer a line of products just for them. Our four-legged companions come in all shapes and sizes, so while we can offer general guidelines, it’s best to start low. From there, adjust as needed to find the ideal serving for your pet.
What should I expect when using hemp extracts?
Everyone is unique and may have a slightly different experience when using hemp extracts. For most people, hemp extracts as a daily supplement can provide a general sense of balance and well-being. This is often described as a feeling of calm, relaxation, and relief from everyday stresses.
Will hemp get me high?
No, our hemp products are non-intoxicating.
What is "Full-Spectrum" or "Whole-Plant" hemp?
The terms “full-spectrum” and “whole-plant” both refer to an extract that contains all the compounds found in our premium hemp genetics. Full-spectrum, or whole-plant, hemp extracts are the only way to experience the complete synergy offered by the hemp plant.
What's the difference between Hemplucid products?
We offer full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and THC-free (isolate) product options. Within each of these categories are a variety of formulations ranging from tinctures to edibles and topical body creams. The differences between products in a given category are strength, speed of absorption, taste, method of ingestion, and the duration of effects.
How should I store hemp extract products?
We recommend storing products in a cool, dry location, out of open sunlight. The typical cabinet or pantry should be fine.
Which extraction method was used?
We use a supercritical CO2 extraction method to produce a clean, solvent-free hemp extract. Our products undergo the process of decarboxylation and winterization where ethanol is used (none will be found in our final product) to remove the fats and waxes your body cannot break down.
Do you provide third-party test results?
Yes. All of our products are tested at multiple intervals throughout growth, extraction, and formulation. The manufacturer provides third-party lab test results (called a Certificate of Analysis) for our concentrated extracts and finished product batches.

Will hemp extracts make me fail a drug test?
It may be possible to trigger a false positive on a drug test when using hemp extract products.
When do hemp extracts expire?
The best by date of our products is 18 months from the date of formulation. Best by dates are marked on the bottom of the box, jar, or bottle.
There's a black spot/ring in my tincture, is this normal?
If you notice a darker coloration near the top of your tincture, don’t worry! Your product hasn’t gone bad, that’s just natural separation.
To keep your tinctures properly mixed, we recommend giving them a good shake before each use. Some bottles may require a bit of extra vigor!
